Feeddler Pro 2 Just Released

Feeddler Pro 2 was finally approved by Apple and was released in the App Store this morning. I appreciate your continued support.

The free version had some issues raised by Apple's App Review team on Monday. I had to re-submit the free version on Monday night. Hopefully the issues will be resolved this time and the free app can be approved soon too.

Update on 9/30/2014:
I have submitted an update to fix aggregated item loading for The Old Reader, fix RSS summary for feedHQ, add options to disable full screen in list view or article view, and enable unread badge and background refresh. These were widespread bugs or popular requests from the initial release so I want to release an update as soon as possible. I will address other issues in the following updates.

The free version is still under review :(

Just curious, does Feeddler Pro 2 support The Old Reader "Following" section/Friends comments etc or is there still no API for that?

Thank you!

Yeah! Thank you! I just bought and loaded my The Old Reader account. For some reason, the top level items (All Items and Starred) do not show any articles (there is an article count). I have to go into the individual feeds to actually get the article list.

Is there some setting that might be controlling this that I have wrong or is this a new feechur?

The new look is great; five bucks well spent! A few things:

- The unread icon badge isn't working for me, and toggling it off and on again didn't help.
- When can we expect iPhone 6 compatibility so that it's not scaled?

Thanks for the very useful app!

Just dropped my 5 bucks too. My withdrawal symptoms have eased off. :)

Thank you very much for all your work, CB!

Is there a way to disable the auto-hiding of the menu bar at the bottom? I keep losing the navigation arrows when I accidentilly scroll down.

Is Feeddler Pro 2 a free upgrade from Feeddler Pro ?

Kudos - great look, very responsive and well worth the upgrade!

I use Bazqux and Feeddler and it's a great combination for fast, efficient RSS delivery without the magazine look.

Thanks for the great new version!

Have purchased a pro version and so far so good. I'd like to see updated version for iPhone 6 Plus without an upscaling. But thank you for such a great application.

Anyone else having problems with AOL Reader? I'm getting "Request failed: unauthorized (401)" AOL Reader site itself is up and running and I can log in fine though.

Big thank you!
I was eager for Feeddler 2 release!

But I'm sad to say that I have the bug with not showing all records and stared records :-(

I hope it's a minor issue to be fixed soon :-)

An addition: I use "The Old Reader".
iOS 8.0.2 on iPhone 5 and iPad Retina.

I just bought Feeddler 2 Pro, and am running 8.0.2 on an iPad 2 and an iPhone 5. I am syncing with FeedHQ.

When I pull up articles, the Subject shows, but no text from the body appears, even if I select "RSS Summary", "Full Text", or "Full Articles on Web" in the preferences. I have to click Full Text or the more button to see anything.

Please feel free to Email me if you need additional debugging info.

Thanks,
David

I appreciate the effort into the new feeddler pro2. I use it strictly for my Tumblr account. It says it connect so tumblr, but when I try to log in I get an error message titled Request Error, There was a problem requesting authorization from Tumblr. Can anyone help with this?

I really like the addition of the "back" X that you added to the ipad version. Is there any way this can be offered in the iphone 6 phones. It is hard to reach on the top left corner on the 6...it is probably impossible to do on the 6plus.

Jon Bray said...

CB, Thanks for the update. Working fine on a 5s with a Feedly account. Regards, Jon

I'm having problems with the old reader viewing pane and connecting to tumblr, too. Please advise. Thanks!

Summary preview does not give 1,2,3 lines of text, just time stamp.
Like the new version.

If you're going to try to force us into using gestures, then you should at least make it behave like safari on iPhone. When I click the bottom section, Safari unhides the navigation bar. The gestures just aren't reliable for me and it is very frustrating.

Why did you choose to auto hide the navigation bar and the article number, but not the article title? If I am going through articles and have the bars hidden, then I don't need the top inch of my screen dedicated to an article name.

Hi Are you aware the app crashes when viewing posts on 8.02?

This is a good new version. I love it ... Except for a tiny detail: "All in Folder" doesn't seem to work (it did in version 1). When I tap on it, it says it syncs but doesn't show any article. Btw I'm using The Old Reader as "web service" (but it still works fine on version 1) and I bought the pro versions n. Thanks for the good work (and for a solution to this issue)!

Please fix the clunky disappearing menu bar behavior and gigantic fonts on iPhone 6 Plus

Crashes constantly on my iPad 3 with Old Reader. I reinstalled and it got better now just about every time I read an article it crashes. This is with the new version, too.

droszel said...

It's still crashing on my iPhone 6, IOs 8.0.2

I am on ios8.0

Keep crashing.

Crashes constantly on iPad Air (IOS 8.0.2) with Old Reader

Geoff said...

I am running iOS 8.0.2 on an iPad 2 and iPhone 5s and I love the app but I find it very annoying when viewing an article in Full Text. As I read, the article keeps refreshing and goes back to the top of the screen. I scroll back down, but a refresh brings me right back to the top. I'm using theoldreader.

Crashes for me too on ios 8.0.2 on ipad mini when trying to view article in browser.

Robert said...

When are we getting an update?

Rob said...

why baggage icon informing about unread not working on iOS 8 with FD2?

John Williams said...

Just upgraded to iOS 8.0.2 and now Feedldler Pro crashes every few pages. Checking with App store to see if there's an update and I see version 2 is available, and no updates for my version.
So do I have to buy version 2? Will Feeddler Pro be fixed?

Jon Bray said...

CB, Thanks for the update. 3.1 working fine with Feedly. Jon

Greig said...

The update has arrived and it works great! thank you!,

Kentucky Packrat said...

Thank you for the update. The new code fixes all the issues I was having with Feeddler. It's back to the "killer app" that justifies my iPad.

Tim Dixon said...

Great app! buying version 2 was a no brainer!

Unfortunately since version 3.1 the buffer integration is not working, can you please advise when this will be fixed?

Thanks
Tim

Something is still wrong with OldReader. Often when going to feed within a folder and reading an item and return to feed, it shows all items in the folder instead of just items of that feed even though the title still shows the name of that particular feed.

Julie Goucher said...

I have just come across this post and realise that I have missed some months of using Feeddler Pro again. I have downloaded the free version currently on my 6+ device and will do the same for my iPad & will upgrade to the free version.
